Pathfinding with Pachamama – Spirit of the White Jaguar

The CD starts with South American style music and the calls of birds with a deep underlying beat to soothe and relax the listener.

The female voice starts to list the links to Pachamama and Peru – Cuzco is the city of the White Jaguar and Lake Titicaca means Lake of the Stone White Jaguar. She also explains that more White Jaguar people are incarnating to help bring balance to Mother Earth.

The systems for guided meditation are then set up – following the breath and surrounding the self with White Light for protection. You are then guided to see Pachamama and White Jaguar. The voice explains that White Jaguar is with you because part of your spiritual journey is to be alone like White Jaguar. White Jaguar never seeks to be seen – you only know where it has been – White Jaguar does not need to depend on ego. White Jaguar comes to tell you to stop procrastinating and move forward with faith and courage. Don’t lash out at others from your own pain; honour others, ourselves, Mother Earth/ Pachamama, hearth and home.

Inca Shamans must follow the 4 fold path of the Medicine Wheel and the voice goes on to guide you along the directions South, West, North and East. Then there is a request for healing at all levels and the music comes back to the fore and the meditative state for healing is invoked. This goes on for about half of the taped session.

The voice returns and there is a call for us to transcend time and live life wisely and in harmony with Pachamama. We are asked to consider the way that we use resources and how we can be more respondent to the natural flow of our environment. White Jaguar medicine is then invoked for us to take control of our lives and become leaders. We are asked to send healing to Mother Earth. Then the tape begins to bring us back to ourselves, closes the chakras, leaving us revitalised and recharged. The voice ends with the welcome back to our lives.

The music returns and fades slowly out for the end of the session.

This meditation is easy to follow and has a good beginning and completion; you are left feeling refreshed and thoughtful about White Jaguar and Pachamama. The idea of the Medicine Wheel would have to be followed up in another form to have any benefit, but there is an abundance of Shamanic writing/guidance on this for those who are interested in taking it further. A good basic meditation for anyone to use, beginner or experienced meditator – though those with more experience may have wished for there to be a little less music and for it to have been shorter.

The cards depict pictures of mystical beings such as angels, dolphins, Pegasus, unicorns, faeries and sacred places as well. Some illustrations have featured on the cover of Paradigm Shift in the past.

I received the deck at a time when relationship troubles of a family member triggered my own past hurts. As I shuffled the cards, one dropped out. I put it back, shuffled once more and picked a card. And it was the same one that had fallen out of the pile. It was the forgiveness card. I could not have picked a better one. The text in the booklet was very helpful as well, giving me just the guidance I needed.

I loved receiving these three CD’s. One should take time out to enjoy them as they are an hour long each, parts of which are instrumental. The music is powerful yet relaxing. It is like a story in itself, taking you on a journey. The violin brings inner peace and the piano chords add deep relaxation. Tinkling sounds bring a sense of magic and enchantment. The voice guiding the meditations is pleasant and softly spoken. I did need to wear headphones as the music is a bit loud compared to the spoken meditation. Nonetheless this made the music really seep in helping let go of all that surrounded me and move into a deep alpha state.

I loved the first guided meditation where 12 unicorn guides bring rainbow light to your energy field, after which you are guided into a forest by Merlin himself to meet your Unicorn. After meeting your Unicorn it carries you away on its wings of light! The instrumental CD is lovely to play on the background during healing work and I will use it when doing my readings and making my sculptures. I am sure it will inspire me to make more unicorns. I will leave the third CD as a surprise. Suffice it to say it felt like a deeply healing and balancing CD to me.

The Whale Whisperer

This has been the best book I have read in ages! I felt myself glued to Madeleline’s adventures and wanted to know about them from one chaper to the next without putting the book down. Madeleine’s adventures deliver messages from many different wild and sacred animal species including the white buffalo, the humpback whale, orcas and bears!

Through each animal, Madeleline translates the knowledge they convey to her to tell ‘us’ humans what we need to know, and not only save humanity but also the natural world.

When you read this book you are drawn in right form the very start by the power of Madeleine’s words, it helps you to re-awaken your deeper knowing and re-connect with them. Madeleine talks about how she overcomes her own fears of her ever-increasing personal power by communicating with these sacred creatures.

Definitely worth a read if you are animal communicator, a lover of animals or just want to deepen your understanding.

It helped me bring more of those qualities into my own life!

Tall Tales & Short Stories

This is a record of the journeys of a modern person into altered states of consciousness where – sometimes reluctant and often confused – the author is led through a wealth of experiences by loving guides. Seeming to move towards finding a balance between he ancient ways and the modern mind, the journey continues.

Each chapter is a record of the meditative shamanic style journey taken by the author, led by the sound of a drum. Although there is no explanation of what each journey means, there is a wealth of information within each story to lead the reader to their own conclusions. Obviously, these were very personal journeys so the meaning for the author may not be that of the reader.

Nevertheless, this is a fascinating and very descriptive record. Travel with the author through many levels of awareness and perhaps come to some new understanding of your own journey.

Even reading the first page of chapter one gives an insight into what a heart puller this is. Full of compassion and love of animals, Kim writes from her heart. She really helps you to understand that animals really do talk to us after they have passed over. Kim has the ability to open your mind and touch your heart and connect with your soul. A wonderful read.

In this book, Tonika escorts you into other worlds and dimensions, explaining her own remarkable experiences with the paranormal, embracing past life regression, ghosts, angel and spirit guides. She also encourages you along your own journey of self-recovery and understanding. A journey in which you can discover your own connection with the Universe and the many different dimensions contained within Creation.

“Journey Home” offers a multitude of insights, and along the way looks at some of the fundamental questions asked by all cultures around the world. Where do we come from? Why are we here? What is the point of our life? What happens when we die?

When I picked this book up, the sub-title made me expect a story-line that would be chronologically followed to reveal the many experiences of the writer. Instead, the book takes you along certain themes of which the author has gained a multitude of experiences and insights over time. The book focuses on angels, archangels, our soul, negative entities and God as well as the astral realms, spirit guides, ghosts, past lives and time travel.

Some of the things she writes about are well known to those of us who have read many spiritual books over time, and they are like a reminder of knowledge already gained. Yet other things were new to me. Tonika has a different view on many historical events as well as on spiritual protection as such in that she writes, there is no such thing as protection from false energies. Tonika writes about discernment, a much needed quality in these times of immense information coming towards us.

Tonika has a special way to discern Divine Will in her life. I feel we each have our own ways for discernment. We each have our own paths to follow and though I enjoyed this book thoroughly and found it very informational, not all within it resonated with my truth and inner being.

Summer’s Path

Scott Blum is the co-founder, with his wife, of the inspirational website ‘Daily Om’ (www.dailyom.com). He says in his introduction that Summer’s Path came to him just before ‘Waiting for Autumn’ was about to be released. As it is in effect a ‘prequel’ to that story, it was released first as an e-book, and was published electronically in January 2009. Now it is available as a hardback – with two additional chapters – and also as an audio book.

The story introduces us to Don, a man in a very difficult position. He has lost his job, and (being American), that means he has also lost his health insurance. When he is diagnosed with terminal cancer, he tries to find a way not to leave his wife with huge medical bills to pay, but there doesn’t seem to be a thing he can do about it. Then he meets Robert, an angel of death, who has an extraordinary proposal that just might save his life. The problem is, he has to leave his wonderful wife, fake his own death, and head off into the wilderness with only Robert for company – or is it the other way round?

As the cover blurb states: ‘Robert takes Don through an astounding meditation of life and death and reveals various healing and spiritual concepts, including walk-ins, animal communication, embodiment, and soul destiny. On this magical journey of self-realisation, Don discovers that it’s never too late to learn profound life lessons about ourselves and our loved ones.’

As an avid reader of spiritual novels, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Depending on what you already know, you may find it anything from highly instructive to deeply confirmatory, but wherever you are on your spiritual path, you will find yourself warming to Don and his angel companion, and rooting for him all the way. I can’t wait to get my teeth into Waiting for Autumn!
