By AF FirebirdThe Reluctant Goddess

Ellena Ripley is a bookshop owner from a rural town in the south of England – or so she thinks. But lately, she has a growing sense that life is not as it seems. At night, she dreams of a serene man who appears to be trying to tell her something; In the day, she can’t shake a feeling of expectation. But of what?

Meanwhile Hector, servant of LIFE and the man from Ellena’s dreams, has a dilemma. How do you tell someone they are a goddess? His previous attempts have met with disaster so he must be cautious, particularly when his new trainee, Boudica, formerly Queen of the Iceni tries to help. The question is can they succeed before it is too late?

I love reading about metaphysics and I truly enjoy fantasy fiction. This book combines the two in a wonderful way. I got sucked into the book straight away and enjoyed the varied characters and twists and turns of the story. Dogs that are guides, angels that do not follow the rules, Goddesses that think they are simply 48-year old women with high expectations and physical assets moving south. Nothing is quite as it seems in this book. Some of the scenes really made me laugh. To be able to make one think deeply of life at one moment and giggle at the next makes an author into an alchemist of sorts. I definitely recommend this book as it will inspire you to look at life from a different perspective and at the same time keep a sense of fun.

Course by Joanna Bristow-WatkinsJoanna Bristow-Watkins

The day began with an explanatory description of Melchisadec (the ruler of the Violet Ray), the Ray itself being the essence of a unique spiritual light, and the Halls of Amenti, the etheric temple where our Akashic Records are kept.  Joanna provided us with a folder of detailed notes covering all this and the very wide range of both qualities and uses of the Violet Ray, both historically and in the present. As the day progressed we were taken through each stage carefully and thoughtfully giving ample time for questions.

Joanna explained the different lines of the symbol, the Vessica, giving us details of each stream and its meaning. We then practised using the symbol and found this to be an extremely powerful experience. I felt that, once we had ‘drawn’ the complete Vessica the room was filled with the same coloured streams of energy. Joanna ensured we remained balanced and grounded before continuing.

After lunch, we received the Attunements which involved Joanna placing ancient sacred symbols into our aura at specific chakra points – this too was a very powerful and empowering experience. The Attunement begins a 21 day clearing cycle – each chakra point taking 24 hours in turn, and the cycle repeated 3 times – i.e. 3 x 7 = 21.

There is so much more I could say about this workshop, but it really needs to be experienced to gain the full benefit.

By Paul McCarthyAscension

Paul McCarthy’s Ascension offers a complete, in-depth guide to becoming an ascended master for those who want to be masters of their own spiritual transformations.

Ascension: Becoming an Ascended Master offers a guide to the ascension process that explores the various levels of human spiritual consciousness. It presents a modern and accessible approach to the subject of ascension and aims to empower spiritual seekers by providing the information that they need to know in order to navigate through the different levels of consciousness.

This model of ascension explains the experiences of each level of ascension in detail, as well as the unique lessons of each level and the requirements needed to ascend to the next level. Ascension traces the process and journey of ascension, placing a detailed focus on the levels of ascension, the spiritual lessons learned in the process, the keys to transformation, the concepts of integration and universal awareness, ways to monitor your progress, and methods for transcending your ego. Explore the wisdom of master teachers from the past who have experienced each level of consciousness and learn what it takes to be a modern-day ascended master.

I found this a very interesting book. Having read quite a lot about ascension, I expected to read much I already knew, and though this was partly the case, Paul McCarthy’s model on Ascension was truly helpful. The progression of ascension can be described as the journey through distinct levels of consciousness, which he calls Indigo, Crystal, Rainbow and Diamond. Key attributes and challenges are mentioned.

With this the book proves a descriptive road map for the Light worker on the ascension path. It helps one to find out where on the path one is and what is important in the current as well as future levels. Supportive strategies are mentioned throughout the book as well as helpful techniques. I would welcome more emphasis on this, to give the Ascension Seeker ways of moving through the levels with more ease and grace.

By Penny GillmanThe Wigapom Quest

When unhappy young Willerby dreams of a new name, experiences real magic and receives a strangely marked pulsating stone, he hopes his life is about to change. But it is only when he receives a similar stone with instructions to earn five more that his mystical Quest for Hidden Wisdom begins, giving him the opportunity to discover who he really is…

Each stone leads him further along a magical pathway of self-discovery through the land of his birth, the creative depths of his psyche and his relationship with his inner child. It also threatens his life and his relationship with his oldest friend, and leads to a future he never imagined in his wildest dreams.

As you read this gripping adventure, with its magical, monstrous and surreal events, you are encouraged to undertake your own personal and spiritual Quest into self-awareness, inner wisdom and the concept of Oneness.

The Wigapom Quest is a unique, exciting, multi-layered story, delivering its message of hope to the Child in every Adult and the Adult in every Child.

What a fantastic read! Not only an exciting fantasy book full of magic, adventure, romance and mystical beings, but also a book filled to the brim with deeper meanings, insights and spiritual concepts. It is such an entertaining book on one level, but on a deeper level it will invite you to go within and look into your own use of thoughts, energy and choice. Thus the Wigapom Quest will be a wonderful fantasy novel to some, it will awaken others to new, spiritual and empowering concepts and it will be a reminder of deeply held inner truths to others.

All in all I would say this book is THE fantasy novel for Light workers.

by Sue Stothard & Robina HearleUnfolding Enlightenment

The health of the soul has never before been recognised as something needing attention.  Therefore, with the exception of the ancient peoples in the world who have long recognised sickness of the soul as being important, it has largely been ignored as an entity needing help.

In this second book of the Unfolding Enlightenment series, the authors bring to our attention new and amazing revelations not only about the nature of the soul, but also the shattering idea that your eternal soul can be malfunctioning and debilitated by damage.

This small but concise volume explains what soul loss is and how it occurs, and also illustrates the impact this can have on our subtle and physical bodies from one life to the next and so on.  The authors put forward the premise that everyone has some degree of soul loss and give compelling reasons why the soul itself needs healing.  They also state that for truly effective and lasting healing to occur, the soul itself must be looked at first.

Although familiar with some of the concepts, at first sight I found others to be quite revelationary (or revolutionary if you prefer) but, nonetheless, very sound.  Not only are the reasons for soul loss identified, but how this needs to be resolved.  As the book forms part of the background to a practical course, the authors provide both the information and the path to healing.  This book is full of fascinating information and is likely to tweak the reader’s interest to investigate further.

by Wendy StokesLightworker's Circle Guide

The Lightworkers Circle guide is expertly written by Wendy Stokes, a medium and teacher with 20 years experience. The book is set out clearly, with step by step guide to setting intentions of the group, safety and suitability of individuals, expectations of teacher and students, protocol, and space to grow learn and explore spiritual matters.

I found the book easy to follow, and as a group leader myself, there were some useful tips for those starting out. Wendy is obviously well read and has the maturity and insight to compile this book – which shows her deep connection to working with Spirit and her Guides.

I particularly liked the set guided mediations in Chapter 8. Lovely, simple and clear. A great gift and an easy read. Recommended.

by  Mike WilliamsonWorking in the Realms of Spirit

Mike Williamson has been a Clairvoyant Medium for the last thirty years, only discovering his clairvoyant abilities in his thirties. In Working In The Realms Of Spirit, he and his family find themselves renovating and living in a large farmhouse in Surrey, UK, full of unwelcome spiritual visitors. They weren’t going to give in to these forces that were plaguing them and making their lives unpleasant but first of all they had to understand them. Mike himself says: “‘As we couldn’t find anyone to get rid of them for us, we had to learn how to do it ourselves.”

They start their journey to understand the part they play on Earth as eternal beings, by going to a number of ‘unusual’ spiritual circles. Eventually, Mike and his wife Jan, who is also a Medium, find the right circle and build up their protective power, understanding of the workings of Spirit, and healing abilities, enough to become Rescue Mediums. Their task is to help ‘lost souls’ to go into The Light and Home. Always at their side are powerful Spiritual Guardians. The one who calls himself Richard teaches them everything they need to know about the universal laws governing the behaviour of spirits. It is mostly with Richard’s wise and loving assistance, coupled with extensive training, that Mike and Jan act as part of a Spiritual Police Force that keeps the physical world safe from negative energies that want to cause mayhem in our realm. For years they have been acting on Richard’s memorable advice when it comes to a clearing: “‘When in doubt, chuck ‘em out!”

Mike is still fully engaged in the duties of a Rescue Medium, unmasking ‘impostors’ and ejecting any negative entities hanging around various properties, as well as teaching others to recognise and use their own budding clairvoyant abilities.

As a Medium myself, I can honestly say that I have never heard of so many questions being asked and answered so clearly. Mike and Jan Williamson are very fortunate to have such ‘transparent’ Spiritual Guardians watching over them. I have learnt a great deal from their painstaking accounts of the conversations they had with their Guides, and spiritual visitors, both good and bad.
