by Alison Chester-LambertAstrology Reading Cards

Illustrated by Richard Crookes

These cards seem to hold an energy of enchantment which somehow expands as they get to know you?  When I received these cards I opened them and felt a magical energy, almost as if they have been infused with some of the stardust of which they speak. Yes, I know that sounds a bit weird; but aren’t these weird times? Are we not opening up to magical moments from all sorts of unexpected places? Just to be sure that it’s not just me being ever so slightly O.T.T.   I passed them around a few friends who, I can assure you, are all level headed and grounded (well, most of the time). They loved that they are visually stunning, and that they are easy to use, and most of all that they are a personal reading, with cards that are chosen from your own intuitive self. And, spookily, they each remarked on the magic, the “bit that defies description” as one of them put it. Hmmm not just me then… Phew!

Today however, I met a friend who is a wonderfully gifted tarot reader/teacher and author.  As I handed her the cards, she immediately recognised their powerful energy. Even more WOW … proof positive that the ‘gut feeling’ that we had all experienced was accurate! Choosing the cards she tuned in to their archetypes to give the reading, adding later that the accompanying booklet is an excellent way for beginners to learn the fundamentals of astrology.

But it doesn’t stop there, I have been using these cards now for a couple of weeks, and they really do seem to connect with you, opening up your own intuitive abilities each time you ask for their guidance.   How brilliant is that !!

In creating these cards Alison Chester-Lambert shares her passion for astrology and the cosmos; and in doing so, also shares the magic that happens when we glimpse the bigger picture and see that we have always been guided by the stars. Perhaps they think it is time for us to shine too.

by Marcus Mason

With ever-increasing reports of catastrophic natural disasters and political upheaval taking place all over the world, and daily evidence that many of our traditional social and economic systems are no longer working; it’s no wonder that we hear ourselves desperately asking: ‘What’s going on?’

In this book, astrological expert Marcus Mason uses his extensive knowledge on the subject to provide some real answers to this question – and to explain how all of this applies to you, based on your personal sun sign.

21st December 2012 marks the end of a 25,626 year Time Cycle, caused by the Earth gradually changing her orientation in space. As we reach the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next, approaching astrology from the perspective of the soul’s evolution can help us understand the inner, spiritual purpose behind the events and experiences of our lives. By exploring the sequence of astrological changes as they unfold, this book shows you that we are all being offered the exciting opportunity to: change our perceptions, by uniting the intelligence of the mind with that of the heart; understand how we can truly connect with each other and live in harmony; remember how to honour our Mother Earth; and, create a new, and infinitely more positive vision for our future.

On 21 December 2012 a patriarchal cycle ends to make way for a balance between the feminine and masculine, a time for us to join our minds and hearts together according to this book. It takes us on a journey through the ages to see how Astrology has impacted the earth, its inhabitants and their spirituality. For those like me, who have only very rudimentary knowledge of Astrology the introduction to Astrology, the Astrological Signs and the Planets is very helpful. The years leading up to 2012 and significant astrological moments and influences are described as well as the years after, giving us insight in what is to come and how we can work with these energies in our personal lives. To help with this there is also information on how 2012 will influence your astrological sign! Fascinating material I am sure I will refer to in the year(s) ahead.

I always thoroughly enjoy Marcus’ astrology articles in Paradigm Shift, even though I have little knowledge of Astrology. For those of you who enjoy his articles too, I highly recommend this book.

by Jude CurrivanHope

This book will resonate with anyone who has read James Redfield’s Celestine series, as Jude goes into fascinating detail about how nations have achieved the generic psyche for which they are famous, that resonates with the Second Insight in particular. Seeing the longer sweep of history and how it has shaped the development of individual and collective consciousness is at the heart of the message of HOPE – for only by understanding the reasons and traumas behind the madness of the world can we HOPE to heal it.

The book ‘investigates how different groups and countries reflect and embody the same themes and issues that we experience on an individual human level. It reveals how the history of different areas of conflict around the world and our collective fear-based behaviours are based on traumas that we have energetically continued to resonate with – and crucially, how to heal and release them.’  It also investigates the cosmic phenomena that have contributed to the development of national attributes; by examining the astrological charts of the birth of those nations, and major world events; as well as looking forward to see what the planets have to show us about current developments and the immediate future for the planet as a whole.  Jude’s message is one of deep and inspiring HOPE, collected through her many journeys as a cosmologist and healer.

As Einstein famously once said, “you cannot heal an issue from the level at which it occurred”. Therefore, we need a larger perspective and higher vision to heal the rifts and traumas that are still being perpetuated all over the globe. Jude’s book attempts to provide us with just that, so that we can further our own journey to wholeness and even, perhaps, help our world, and Gaia herself, on the path to a joyous Shift of Consciousness.

The end of the Mayan calendar is fast approaching, a time when many people believe a major change is coming. As Jude shows in this book, we can all contribute to make that change smoother and more painless for ourselves, our human family, and our beloved planet.

by Andrew ForrestInfinite Octaves

Infinite Octaves is a profound voyage through the depths of feeling and emotion. The last of Andrew’s Star System Trilogy and dedicated to the Pleiades, this is a very introspective album that stimulates reflection and a moving melancholy, that is however ultimately healing and uplifting in its essence.   As I listened to the composition, I felt as if I were sitting on the edge of the river of life, observing past, present and future unfolding in time, with the benign compassion of a very high perspective.

I was once taught that higher dimensional love, the love of the higher realms, is a love that is detached, not as in uncaring, but as in able to observe and be and hold space, without adding the color of turbulent emotion. In this composition I felt the presence of such love, as I often do in Andrew’s work, as he always brings to the table not just notes and music, but a very high energy, with a tangible presence, a consciousness beyond space and time, which patiently loves, embraces and upholds.

Indeed this is the true gift of Andrew’s music. Aside from the precision of his musical talent, which is flawless and professional, placing his work in a completely different category from most new age music, he is truly a channel for something “other”. An other that one cannot but think of as belonging to the highest of dimensional realms. A pure consciousness that lives beyond the worlds and which touches and transforms. This higher dimensional  presence is in all of Andrew’s work, but is particularly visible here and it’s an honor to be held in this space for the duration of this musical journey. Thank you Andrew for being the conduit to such perfection and healing. This album is an opening and an initiation. A true beauty to behold.

by David WellsDavid Wells

This book includes how to learn about your own astrology and the personality, relationships and destiny behind it. The significance of numerology and how it can reveal your own life path. You can learn how to use tarot cards as well as gaining tips to increase your psychic energy and intuitive power.

The thing I enjoyed is that David Wells doesn’t take himself too seriously but he does take his craft seriously.  A man after my own heart – always referring after each of the meditation exercises to put that kettle on for a cup of tea (essentially to help ground yourself); as tea make your heart glow with warmth and compassion just like David’s sense of humour.

David Well’s takes you on a journey not only from the experiences he has learned on his psychic journey but he opens up the Aladdin’s Cave to allow you to ride on that magic carpet too!

From learning about numerology, reading and practising the tarot, seeing your own 3rd eye through meditation. This book is fun and practical and is used as an icebreaker between him and reader. If you are a practitioner just starting out this book is perfect to gain your skills further. Loved it!

By: Alison Chester-LambertThe Future In The Stars

Alison Chester-Lambert is the founder of the Midlands School of Astrology and runs an Astrological Consultancy practice. In her book, she focuses on a whole family of newly discovered dwarf planets that the astronomers named after deities from little known indigenous cultures. Drawing meaning from their ancient myths, the events surrounding their discovery and, their influence on the human race in the 21st century, she invites the reader to sit comfortably and enjoy unravelling a journey of discovery. .. . . and I did!

This book is very readable, packed with information that is clear and fun and absolutely fascinating; so much so that I didn’t want to put it down. I never thought I would say that about a book on astrology, which until now, I have always found to be very interesting but far too technical for me to fully understand. So, if like me you have struggled with complicated astrological jargon, I thoroughly recommend this book.
